We are pleased to annouce Lauren Miller has joined our Cheer Program!

Lauren has a solid cheerleading background and Pop Warner experience.  Including leading a 10U team to the Pop Warner National Championships.  Lauren will be our Assistant Cheer Director and Lead Coach.  Lauren can be contacted should you have any questions for her about Cheerleading at   (Keep in mind the exact details of our program are still to be determined)

Our program is great way for young athletes to learn basic and advanced cheerleading such as tumbling, stunting, dance, and cheer routines. We accept all experience levels and help them to excel to the best of their abilities. We cheer for the Pop Warner tackle football team, South Charlotte Patriots, and are members of the Pop Warner Little Panthers league. Games will be on Saturdays and may require travel throughout the greater Charlotte area. Pop Warner Little Panther teams have won many Local & Regional titles and have advanced to Nationals for the past five seasons. Cheering with us gives kids the opportunity to make lasting friendships and acquire many new skills.

REGISTRATION FEES:

Registration Fees are still to be determined, but will be around $300 for the season and all divisions. We are looking to fill recreational squads and competition squads for all eligible age groups.  Having competition teams will depend on the level of interest. If we do have a competing squad, then there will an additional $50 fee to cover additional practice space costs and fees. 

The registration will cover Cheer Uniform, Cheer Briefs, Shoes, Socks and 1 Game Day Hair Bow. You may keep the briefs, shoes, and bow at the end of the season, but all else - uniform, socks, and poms - must be returned to SCRA.

 SEASON: August 10th through mid-November

There will be a mandatory competition for all squads in October.  Non-competing squads and Tiny & Mighty will exhibit only. If competing squads place at the local level, they will compete at Regionals Thanksgiving weekend in Virginia Beach. From there, they may qualify to move on to the National Competition in Orlando at the beginning of December.

ASSESSMENTS:
We will not do assessments, but your child will be placed on age/skill appropriate teams. This is not optional, and siblings may be on different teams as the older teams require more skill and time.

PRACTICE LOCATION: Olde Providence Elementary

All participants will be required to attend practices. This will be strongly enforced. Practices will be held (up to three days) for the competing teams on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.  Practice times will be announced prior to the start of the season, but expect to be from 6:45pm to 8:00pm.

FUNDRAISING:

Fundraising is REQUIRED for all competing cheerleaders and strongly encouraged for all others.  Everyone will be responsible for raising enough money for their respective teams or paying the remaining costs out of pocket, if we qualify for Nationals in Orlando.
