PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
South Charlotte Recreation Association provides 10U Softball as a mid-level program for our players. For the Fall season, players should be 9 or 10 years old as of December 31, 2021.
Registration $245.
EQUIPMENT:
Uniforms: SCRA provides jersey, belt and socks. Navy pants are to be purchased indivdually by the player.
Required equipment: Softball glove, softball bat, batting helmet (with cage), and fielding face-mask (for playing in the infield)
Recommended equipment: Rubber cleats. Metal cleats are not allowed.
SEASON: If there are enough players to form more than one team, teams will be formed following player evaluations. Spring practices begin in mid-February with the Spring season ending tournament finishing in late May. Fall practices begin mid-August with the Fall season ending tournament finishing in early November. 10U weeknight games start at 6pm. Weekend games are all played during the day mostly on Saturdays. All teams have 10 regular season games and participate in a post-season double elimination tournament.
