PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
South Charlotte Recreation Association provides 13U Softball as a more advanced program for our players. Players should be 11, 12, or 13 years as of December 31, 2021.
Registration Fee: $275.
EQUIPMENT:
Uniforms: SCRA provides jersey, belt and socks. Each player should purchase navy pants on your own.
Required equipment:Softball glove, softball bat, batting helmet (with cage) and either face-mask or mouth guard (for playing in the infield)
Recommended equipment: Rubber cleats. Metal cleats are not allowed.
SEASON: If there are enough players to form more than one team, teams will be formed following player evaluations. Spring practices begin in mid-February with the Spring season ending tournament finishing in late May. Fall practices begin mid-August with the Fall season ending tournament finishing in early November. 13U & older games usually begin at 7:30pm. Weekend games are all played during the day mostly on Saturdays. All teams have 10 regular season games and participate in a post-season double elimination tournament.
